Booked a compact car for a week and it was surprisingly spacious. The price was much better than other rental companies at the airport. No hidden fees.

Rented the new hybrid. The fuel savings basically paid for the rental itself. Pick up was in downtown Taupo, very convenient location close to the supermarket for supplies before heading to Napier.

Staying at the Aloft and this was right around the corner. Much better than dealing with airport shuttles. The Hyundai was fine, gas mileage was great. Drove to Sierra Nevada brewery in no time.
